Stars and Stripes Game Scheduled for Friday

Our hometown heroes this year is The Campbell Family. Command Sergeant Major Campbell is currently serving as the State Command Sergeant Major of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. CSM Campbell enlisted in the US Army in 1992 and has held numerous leadership positions at numerous echelons in his career. In 1996 he enlisted in the Pennsylvania National Guard.

His wife Natalie has been a substitute teacher at WASHS since 2014.

Their daughter Second Lieutenant Albany Campbell is a 2017 graduate of WASHS. Albany graduated from the University of Tennessee where she was a Battalion Commander her senior year. She is the Launcher Platoon Leader in Charlie Battery in 5th Battalion, 7th Air Defense Artillery. Albany is stationed in Baumholder, Germany but is currently deployed in Eastern Europe.

The Campbell’s oldest son Corporal Aidan Campbell is a 2019 Graduate of WASHS and was a member of the football team. Aidan is assigned to the Eastern Army National Guard Aviation Training Site. Aiden is trained as a Chinook helicopter mechanic. He did a tour in Iraq June 2020 to May 2021.

Their youngest son Will is a Junior at WASHS. Will is a member of the Cross County team, basketball team and track & field team.

The Stars and Stripes game is at home in the Buchanan Automotive Stadium Friday September, 9. Arrive before 6:30 p.m. to honor the Campbell Family and game time is at 7 p.m. against Chambersburg.
