GREENCASTLE – The James P. Oliver Memorial Bike Race took place Aug. 6 during Old Home Week, drawing over 200 spectators. The event featured races divided by age groups, with only two races running simultaneously.
In the 4-and-under category, Masin Eiser took first, followed by Eliot Graver in second and Cecilia Painter in third. Holden Byers won the 5-7 group, followed by Nash Doyle in second and Grant Everetts in third. Jaxon Lady won the 8-9 age group, with Eli Eshleman second and Jairus Baer third.
The 10-11 group saw Kale Strait claim first, with Maci Patterson second and Cole Timmons third. Finn Martin led the 12-13 division, with Weston Reese in second and Beckett Davidson third. Camryn Lindsay topped the 14-15 category, while Mayor Ben Thomas took first in the 16-and-up division.
The community celebrated the young athletes’ achievements in a spirited display of local pride.
