CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Students and staff at Franklin County Career and Technology Center ended last week on a cheerful and calming note with a session of goat and lamb yoga led by Selina Laman and the school’s counseling team.
The event, which took place just before St. Patrick’s Day, blended wellness, teamwork and a touch of humor. Resident animal instructors Dixie, Lyla and Emmy helped demonstrate relaxation techniques in “lamb pose” and “downward facing goat,” much to the delight of participants.
According to staff, the school’s partnership between the counseling department and wellness activities aims to strengthen mental health awareness and provide stress relief opportunities for students and employees alike.
The lighthearted session closed with an Irish blessing shared by the counselors: a reminder to appreciate life’s simple joys and to spread positivity through the halls of the school.
