WAYNESBORO – A community blood drive will be held Friday, Jan. 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Waynesboro Area YMCA, giving local residents a chance to help patients in need while receiving several thank-you gifts for donating.
The blood drive is being held in partnership with Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank, which will collect donations throughout the day at the YMCA. Donors are asked to bring a form of photo identification when they arrive to register.
All presenting donors will receive two free admission vouchers to the Pennsylvania Auto Show, a certificate for a free pint of ice cream from Scoops on the Square and a blood donor T-shirt as a token of appreciation. The event promotion also encourages prospective donors to scan a QR code to sign up in advance, though walk-ins are typically welcomed as space allows.
The Waynesboro Area YMCA is inviting community members to register today and donate blood to help people in need, emphasizing that every pint collected can make a difference for hospital patients across the region. Additional event details and registration information are available through the YMCA’s online and social media announcements.
