WAYNESBORO – The ninth annual Wizarding Weekend, hosted by Mainstreet Waynesboro, will enchant the town on Friday, Aug. 1, and Saturday, Aug. 2. The event, themed around Harry Potter, promises a magical experience for all ages.
Friday, Aug. 1 schedule
- 10 a.m.-5 p.m.: Wizarding Treasure Hunt at 1884 Market House, 17 W. Main St. (Reservations required, call TranquilTeaEA Tea Room at 717-765-6327)
- 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Magical High Tea at TranquilTeaEA Tea Room, 17 W. Main St. (Reservations required, includes gift shop stop)
- Noon-4 p.m.: First Family Fun Night at Main Street Park, 25 E. Main St. (Plant-Your-Own-Mandrake Party, pre-register on Eventbrite.com, $5 donation, sponsored by Wolfie’s Exotics; face-painting with Miss Jen, sponsored by AFS Insurance)
- 5:30-8 p.m.: Sons of Pitches with Mike Dempsey & Jason Mescia of YAM at Live Music Friday, Gallery 50/Music Makers, 50 W. Main St. (Free admission)

- 9 a.m.-3 p.m.: LEGO Lodge at 66 W. Main St. (Explore Harry Potter world through LEGO sets)
- 9 a.m.-8 p.m.: Create your own Bubble Potions, Tonics and Spells at Bathe, 70 W. Main St. (Small fee)
- 9:30-10:30 a.m.: Magic Showl Bubble Magician, River Barry performs in Borogon Alley at Main Street Park
