WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Officers for the Waynesboro Area Senior High Rotary Interact Club for 2026-27 were installed at last week’s Rotary Club meeting. Waynesboro Rotary is the sponsor for the club, which draws students from the high school’s Future Business Leaders Association program.
Rotarian Jeff Rock said club members should celebrate young people who “have chosen to lead, serve and make a positive impact” at their school.
This year’s officers will be Bailey Dill, president; Hopper Baumgarder, vice president and treasurer; Julian Cook, secretary; Isaac Pappas and Quinn Sanders, co-community service officers; Ronnell Petit, marketing/social media; Lily Ecktein, underclassman president; Madeleine Sutton and Janell Furtado, co-underclassman vice presidents.
After installation, the students gave a presentation outlining plans and community projects for the year. They have set a fundraising goal of $2,500 to aid the New Hope Shelter, $1,000 to go to the American Heart Association and $2,000 to donate to either Clean Water Kenya or Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
Fundraising activities will include a Run for Hope 5K, a winter dodgeball tourney, car washes and a variety of
other events.
