WAYNESBORO – The history and current work of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities was the topic at this week’s Waynesboro Rotary Club. Erin Gilbert, philanthropic officer, and Michelle Schopf, early education advocate for the organization, were the guest speaker.
The foundation was established in 1920 as “The Greater Harrisburg Foundation.” It was created to be an organization to support community members seeking to create long-lasting meaningful impacts.
TFEC’s main task is the practice of handling donated assets and the creation of permanent funds to support the donor’s goals. There is an affiliated Franklin County Chapter located in Chambersburg.
