WAYNESBORO – The Waynesboro Area School District has appointed Dr. Diane McCallum as its new assistant superintendent, effective July 1. McCallum brings 22 years of educational experience spanning elementary through high school levels.
Currently serving as the high school principal at Waynesboro Area Senior High School, McCallum has held multiple roles including earth and science teacher, K-12 science supervisor, assistant principal at both middle and high school levels and elementary principal. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Hagerstown Community College and has taught at Wilson College.
McCallum holds degrees from West Chester University, Penn State University, California University of Pennsylvania and Widener University.
District officials expressed confidence that McCallum’s extensive background and dedication to student growth will advance its mission to provide high-quality education and help all learners achieve their “First Choice.”
