WAYNESBORO—Three talented Waynesboro Area Senior High students competed in the Annual Rotary Club of Waynesboro 4-Way Test Speech Contest held recently at the Waynesboro County Club.
Dr Eneida Gjikuria sponsored a preliminary competition to select top students who would compete for the $300, $200 and $100 prizes awarded at the club’s event.
Each contestant delivered a speech on a subject of their choosing, applying the Rotary 4-Way Test, the ethical guide Rotarians use for their personal and professional relationships.
Winning this year’s speech contest and moving on to the Rotary District 7360 Regional Contest in Hancock on April 9, is Hannah Hite.
Winning in Hancock will make her eligible to compete at the District Contest on May 14, 2022 at the American Philatelic Society, Bellefont. Equally impressive were Anjolee Smith (2nd place) and Riley Mazzie (3rd place). Thanks to Rotarian Brian Lucas and his crew of judges for making this a successful event.
