WAYNESBORO – Waynesboro Area Senior High School welcomed families and fans to its annual Community Night on Friday, Aug. 15, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the school’s stadium. Organized by the athletic director, the event showcased the school’s fall sports teams and fostered community spirit with free hot dogs and engaging activities.
Attendees met players from the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams, boys’ football team, girls’ volleyball team, boys’ and girls’ golf teams, and boys’ and girls’ cross country teams. Cheerleaders, including the Stallion Cheerleaders, energized the crowd, while the WASHS Band delivered a lively performance.
Guests also enjoyed a unique opportunity to play on the field with athletes, creating memorable moments for younger fans. The event, held under clear skies, ran smoothly in the Eastern Daylight Time zone.
