Healthy Franklin County is encouraging residents to get moving this spring through Everybody Walk Across Pennsylvania, a free eight-week virtual walking challenge that runs from April 6 to June 1.
The program invites individuals, workplaces, schools and community groups to participate by logging weekly walking totals and supporting one another in building healthier habits. Participants can sign up and learn more at https://bit.ly/4l8YKss.
Those who register through Healthy Franklin County will also be eligible for local prizes, including health and wellness bundles, exercise equipment, cooking gear and other incentives designed to promote an active lifestyle. The registration deadline for the challenge is April 3.
Participants seeking to qualify for regional prizes must sign up for Healthy Franklin County’s incentive program by April 17 at https://bit.ly/4aSFUm6.
Everybody Walk Across Pennsylvania is coordinated by Penn State Extension and supported by community health organizations across the state. The initiative aims to encourage Pennsylvanians to take small but consistent steps toward physical activity and healthier living.
