CHAMBERSBURG – Waffles & Shine, a new locally inspired eatery, will welcome guests for its grand opening June 4 at 109 S. Main St., offering a menu of inventive waffle dishes and comfort cuisine in a cozy, renovated space.
Co-owners Sam Shatzer and Rusty Truett said the restaurant aims to bring a fresh, spirited dining experience to the heart of downtown. “Waffles & Shine is all about bringing something special to downtown—something that feels familiar but tastes unforgettable,” Shatzer said.
The restaurant features a business partnership with Cold Spring Hollow Distillery, which supplies its line of premium spirits for a craft cocktail menu. “We’re incredibly proud of this partnership with Cold Spring Hollow,” Truett said. “Their spirits give our cocktail offerings a unique edge, and their support has helped make this vision a reality. We couldn’t ask for better collaborators.”
Waffles & Shine seats 43 guests, including 10 at the bar, and offers open seating throughout the day with reservations available for dinner. Large parties up to 10 are welcome, though space is limited.
Sam Thrush, president of Downtown Chambersburg Inc., praised the addition. “Sam and Rusty have brought something truly exciting to our downtown. The transformation of this space and the energy they’re bringing to Main Street is inspiring. Waffles & Shine – powered by Cold Spring Hollow – is exactly the kind of innovation and investment that makes Chambersburg thrive.”
The restaurant will be open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. It will be closed Tuesday.
Waffles & Shine invites the community to “come hungry, leave happy” and enjoy a new addition to the downtown dining scene.
