HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Hagerstown has more to see following Hagerfest on May 2nd. As artists finished up their murals in the days following Hagerfest, locals stopped by to watch the progress and take photos.
The creation of these murals were part of a national competition, the National Mural Awards, hosted this year in Hagerstown at Hub City Vinyl. Artists traveled from as far as Australia to cover these walls around town. Two murals can be found in Hayes Alley just off Franklin Street, one is on North Potomac Street, and one is inside Meritus Park on Baltimore Street. These new landmarks serve as major aesthetic upgrades in the city.

More than the four massive murals around town, artists at Hagerfest participated in competitions of their own. Named the “Together We Create” mural, 10 artists transformed a section of the Cultural Trail in Hagerstown. The cultural trail extends from downtown Hagerstown, into City Park.
