Veteran dispatcher retires after 38-year career

CHAMBERSBURG – After 38 years of service, Bryan Stevenson, known as the “Original” Dispatcher 8, has retired from the Franklin County Department of Emergency Services. Throughout his career, Bryan held various roles, culminating in his position as 911 communications support coordinator. His significant contributions included leading major projects, notably the transition to a new phone system and the implementation of Next Generation 911 (NG911). Bryan’s retirement marks the end of an era for Franklin County 911, with his colleagues expressing gratitude for his service and wishing him well in his well-deserved retirement.
