UPMC will host a free virtual event April 23 for high school seniors, families, and educators to explore career opportunities in health care. The “From High School to Health Care” event runs from 6 to 7 p.m. and will detail pathways ranging from direct patient care roles to administrative positions.
Attendees can learn about UPMC’s paid training academies, the UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing at UPMC Harrisburg, and tuition reimbursement programs. The event will also highlight the UPMC in Central Pa. Scholars Program, which provides salary supplements to graduates working in select health care roles.
Registration is not required but recommended. Details are available at Go.UPMC.com/HighSchooltoHealthCare.
