WAYNESBORO – Pennsylvania Auditor General Tim DeFoor will be a special guest at the upcoming “Hanging with Chad” event in Waynesboro, set for 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Aug. 15, at the Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce, 118 Walnut St., Suite 111. DeFoor’s presentation, part of his “Be Audit $mart” tour, will begin at 10 a.m.
Since taking office in 2021, DeFoor has focused on ensuring accountability for recipients of taxpayer funds. His talk will cover the role of his office, his background and include a question-and-answer session. The event offers residents a chance to learn about state government operations and discuss local concerns.
Hosted by state Rep. Chad Reichard (R-Franklin), the monthly “Hanging with Chad” events occur on the third Friday of each month at the same location. Residents can meet with Reichard before DeFoor’s presentation to address state-related issues. Those unable to attend can contact Reichard’s office at 717-749-7384 to schedule an appointment.
