CHAMBERSBURG – A mobile home fire in Southampton Township remains under investigation after flames significantly damaged the structure and killed three dogs, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The fire was reported at 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 14 in the 3500 block of Roxbury Road in Southampton Township, state police said in a media release .
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the blaze, which has been classified as a fire of “undetermined origin,” according to the report.
Responding firefighters arrived to find flames on the front porch and inside the mobile home. Approximately 50% of the structure was involved in fire, and the remaining portion sustained significant smoke damage, police said .
No occupants were home at the time of the fire.
The American Red Cross is assisting those displaced by the fire. No firefighters were injured while responding to the scene.
