Thursday, May 4, 7 p.m. “Star Wars: A New Hope” (PG-13 2:01) Luke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire’s world-destroying battle station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the mysterious Darth Vader.

Friday, May 5, 7 p.m. “Steel Magnolias” (PG 1:57) A young beautician, newly arrived in a small Louisiana town, finds work at the local salon, where a small group of women share a close bond of friendship, and welcome her into the fold.

Saturday, May 6, 4 p.m. “Secretariat” (PG-13 2:03) Penny Chenery Tweedy and colleagues guide her long-shot but precocious stallion to set, in 1973, the unbeaten record for winning the Triple Crown.
