CHAMBERSBURG – A 15-year-old teen-ager has died after a shooting in Greene Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers from PSP Chambersburg responded at approximately 1:44 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15, to a 911 call reporting a shooting at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Valley Pine Court in Franklin County.
Upon arrival, police located a 15-year-old male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Troopers rendered aid at the scene, but the victim later succumbed to his injuries.
The Troop H Major Case Team was activated to lead the investigation, with assistance from the Franklin County Coroner’s Office and the Franklin County District Attorney’s Office.
Following the investigation, authorities charged a 15-year-old male from Fulton County, Pennsylvania, and a 17-year-old male from Berkeley County, West Virginia, in connection with the victim’s death.
State police said the names of the juveniles involved, as well as additional details surrounding the circumstances of the incident, are being withheld due to the ages of those involved and pending court proceedings.
The investigation remains ongoing.
