FORT LOUDON – Routine water testing has returned an elevated bacteria count in Cowans Gap Lake. Swimming in the lake is prohibited until further notice.
The park will test the water daily and re-open swimming when bacteria counts fall into acceptable levels. The day use area will remain open to the public.
