WAYNESBORO – The Waynesboro Area YMCA welcomed seniors from the community on Wednesday morning for its annual Spring Senior Wellness Day. The event, held from 9 to 11 a.m., aimed to promote healthy living among older adults through free health screenings, educational activities and access to local resources.
The event featured participation from numerous local organizations, including Keystone Health, Franklin County Agency on Aging and Visiting Angels. Vendors provided information on health services, while attendees engaged in activities designed to encourage physical and mental well-being.
In addition to educational opportunities, the event offered free health evaluations and screenings. Prizes were also distributed throughout the morning, adding an element of fun to the informative gathering.
The fair was open to the public and drew a diverse crowd of seniors eager to connect with community resources. Representatives from organizations such as Albright LIFE, Rabbit Transit and Grane Hospice Care were present to answer questions and share valuable insights.
