IJAMSVILLE, Md. – South Hagerstown managed one hit on Monday in a 10-0 five-inning loss to Urbana.
Chelsea Desmond got the only hit for the Rebels (4-5). Baylee Hancock drew two walks for South. The Rebels struck out for 12 of the game’s 15 outs.
South host North Hagerstown on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Shepherd’s Miller named PSAC East Pitcher of the Week
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shepherd University freshman pitcher Gavin Miller was named PSAC East Pitcher of the Week on Monday by the league’s office.
Miller fired a complete game two-hitter in a 7-0 win over Kutztown. He fanned three and walked three, holding opponents to a .091 batting average.
Shepherd falls to 10th in NCBWA Regional Poll
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Shepherd University baseball team (24-13) is ranked 10th in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Atlantic Region Poll for April 13.
Shepherd posted a 3-1 record last week.
The Rams were eighth in last week’s poll and fell despite posting a 3-1 record last week
Seton Hill jumped from second and became unanimous choice for No.1, switching places with West Chester.
Shippensburg is ranked fifth and Frostburg State check in at sixth in this week’s poll.
