SMITHSBURG, MD– Smithsburg residents, please note a change in trash collection schedules for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Due to the holidays, trash collection will be altered for one week only.
Here’s what residents need to know:
- Christmas: Place your trash out Tuesday, December 26th, for pick-up on Wednesday, December 27th.
- New Year’s: Put your trash out Tuesday, January 2nd, for pick-up on Wednesday, January 3rd.
Recycling will remain on its normal schedule (Wednesdays for Thursday’s pick-up).
