SMITHSBURG, Md. – Smithsburg’s annual Music and Arts Tapestry Fest drew crowds Saturday, May 17, as residents gathered to celebrate the town’s creative spirit.
The event featured performances from local bands, including The Few, who energized the audience with their signature sound. D.J. Ryan Wetzel, known as “The Spotlight’s on You,” kept the atmosphere lively between sets.
A highlight of the afternoon was a Latin American Dance Showcase presented by Kasandra Cultural Center. Dancers in vibrant costumes performed from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., delighting festival-goers with colorful routines and infectious rhythms.
Attendees sampled a wide array of food from local vendors, with options ranging from savory food truck fare to sweet treats. The festival offered something for everyone, blending music, art and cuisine in a celebration of Smithsburg’s diverse community.
