FLEETWOOD, Pa. – Sara Veara is on a roll for Shepherd University.
Veara won her second tournament title of the season to lead the Rams’ women’s golf team to a fifth-place finish on Monday at Kutztown Fall Classic at Moselem Springs Golf Club on Monday.
Veara fired a two-round score of 154 (74 and 79) to take medalist honors. Shepherd finished fifth in the six-team field behind champion Bloomburg University.
Also scoring for Shepherd were Addison Buckland (199, 25th), Williamsport graduate Kaylie Brown (202, 26th), Natalee Johnson (203, 27th) and Allison Wallace (231, 30th).

Petty Named PSAC East Athlete of the Week
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shepherd University sophomore forward Joshua Petty was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Athlete of the Week on Monday.
Petty recorded a hat trick to lead Shepherd to a 3-1 win over Shippensburg last Wednesday.
FLAG FOOTBALL
Oakdale 19, South Hagerstown 13
Quarterback Kaelynn Kunkle passed for 160 yards and two touchdowns – all going to Aniya Freeman – in South Hagerstown’s loss to Oakdale.
Kunkle connected on 5 of 9 passes. Seven of the passes were thrown to Freeman, who caught five and scores on plays of 65 and 66 yards.
Trinity Savage: added nine carries for 37 yards for South.
