CHAMBERSBURG – A $2 million loan from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority on behalf of Souders
Industries, Inc., doing business as SESCO has been announced by the Franklin County Area Development Corporation. The loan makes possible a $4 million SESCO expansion.
The state loan will be used to support SESCO’s acquisition of the former 80,000-square-foot TE Connectivity facility at 627 North Grant St., Waynesboro.
According to FCADC President Mike Ross, “The facility acquisition will improve SESCO’s production efficiency, expand manufacturing capacity, and solidify its role as a key economic contributor in Franklin County and the Commonwealth. Most importantly, the project ensures the retention of the company’s 87 employees.”
Founded in 1983 by Waynesboro native David Souders, SESCO designs and manufactures custom electrical assemblies, including wire harnesses, control panels and electromechanical systems. The company serves clients across multiple industries, including agriculture, defense, construction, communications and power generation.
Currently operating in a 15,000-square-foot facility at 19 Ash St. in Mont Alto and a 35,000-square-foot facility at 6806 Anthony Highway in Quincy, SESCO plans a phased relocation to the Grant Street site. The transition will occur gradually through March 2026, with both current locations remaining active during the process to ensure
operational continuity and workforce retention. Production at the new site is scheduled to begin in April 2026.
SESCO is a founding member of the Wire Harness Manufacturer’s Association.
