HAGERSTOWN – Mark your calendars, parents: the North Pole is dialing Washington County.
The Washington County Parks and Recreation Department will connect children ages 3 to 6 to a personal call with Santa Claus and selected elves during a free phone-call event on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m.
“We are giving our youngest residents a chance to share their wishes straight to the big guy,” said Recreation Supervisor Emily Carter. “It’s pure holiday magic, no sleigh required.”
To reserve a spot, families must submit one form per child by 4 p.m. on Friday, December 5, and mail it to the Washington County Recreation Department, 11400 Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown, MD 21742, or email it to [email protected].
Calls will come from a 240-313-28XX number. Children should be ready for the call at 6 p.m. and be patient until 8. The elves will call three times, and won’t leave voicemails. While Saint Nick may discuss the BB&G list, he won’t promise any specific gifts.
All information collected from Christmas list information stays within the Recreation Department and Santa’s team, ensuring that every kid’s holiday wishes remain top-secret.
“Don’t wait for the reindeer to land on your roof,” Carter added. “Sign up by December 5 and let the jolly old elf ring your doorbell, well, your telephone.”
