CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Sam’s Program will return to the Chambersburg Memorial YMCA on Tuesday, Oct. 6, offering free weekly activities, academic support and YMCA memberships for students in first through seventh grades.
The program will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday night and will include swim lessons, Bible lessons, gym time and homework help. Homework assistance will be available from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
Students also will participate in story time and special activities with representatives from Chick-fil-A in Chambersburg, which will visit the program once each month.
Sam’s Program is free for participating children. Each enrolled child will receive a free YMCA membership.
Transportation may be available for children who live within the borough near designated pickup stops. Families interested in bus transportation should contact the YMCA to determine whether their child is eligible.
