Rotary Club of Chambersburg Announces New Meeting Venue

CHAMBERSBURG– The Chambersburg Rotary Club has announced Wilson College as its new meeting venue starting in January 2024. The local service organization, chartered in 1920, is known for signature events like Chicken N’ Stuff and service projects like Read Across America and the club is excited to begin hosting its meetings in Laird Hall on the beautiful Wilson College campus. Current club president, Brad Evans, shares that “As we see a surge in our membership post-pandemic, we are confident that we are not only in a venue that will be able to flex to suit our continued growth but one that will also provide us with an excellent dining experience for hosting our members and guest speakers.” Chambersburg Rotary Club meetings are held the first and third Thursdays from 12:15-1:15.

The inaugural meeting at the new location featured guest speaker, David Grant, Chief Operating Officer, Keystone Health who spoke about the history of the organization, its patient growth, and future direction.

The Chambersburg Rotary Club’s 60+ members are known for being people of action and part of a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, and leaders who volunteer their skills and resources to solve issues and address community needs. On a local level, the Chambersburg Rotary has provided thousands of dollars in student scholarships as well as grants to benefit a wide variety of local nonprofits through its charitable 501c (3) foundation. Most notably, over several decades, the proceeds of the popular spring fundraiser, Chicken N’ Stuff benefited the Franklin County Therapeutic Riding Center.
