WAYNESBORO – Rick Bradford of the Shoebox Supply House in Shippensburg told Waynesboro Rotarians about his organization that provides shoebox “stuffing supplies” to a host of volunteers who fill the Samaritan Purse organization’s shoeboxes for thousands of children around the world who would otherwise have no gifts at Christmas.
Samaritan’s Purse is an evangelical Christian humanitarian aid organization that provides aid to people in physical need as a key part of its Christian missionary work. The organization’s president is Franklin Graham, son of Christian evangelist Billy Graham.
At Shoebox Supply, Bradford said, about 100 volunteers have developed a system to provide shoeboxes of toys, clothing, school supplies and other necessities and sundries for distribution.
As Bradford said, “People Find A Purpose.” And these 100 have found theirs.
