CHAMBERSBURG – Rolling stops are planned for Tuesday, Jan. 20, on Interstate 81 near Chambersburg. The rolling stops will be in place as a safety precaution for blasting activities associated with a residential development, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Weather permitting, there will be rolling stops of up to 15 minutes in both directions of I-81 between noon and 2 p.m. today from Exit 17 (Walker Road) to Exit 20 (Route 997/Scotland).
Motorists should be alert and watch for stopped or slow-moving traffic.
