WAYNESBORO – Free yoga classes led by certified instructor Laurie Hovermale of WBO Health & Fitness have begun this summer and will continue select Friday mornings through September. Sessions are held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Museum House Backyard at Renfrew.
The Yoga Flow classes emphasize relaxation, flexibility and strength through basic poses that harmonize movement and breath. Designed to be accessible for all ages and fitness levels, the program requires no reservations. Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mats.
A waiver must be signed during the first visit of the new season to participate. Attendees should see the instructor upon arrival to complete this requirement. In case of rain, classes will move indoors to the Wagon Shed Room in the Visitors Center, unless that space is already reserved.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. Parking is available in the Visitors Center Lot off Main Street/Buchanan Trail/PA-16 or in the Lower Lot off Welty Road. Restrooms are located a short walk away at the Visitors Center.
The schedule includes sessions on July 11, 18 and 25; Aug. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29; and Sept. 5, 12, 19 and 26. There will be no class on July 4. The schedule is subject to change based on instructor availability.
This community wellness initiative offers a peaceful start to the weekend and encourages healthy living in a scenic outdoor setting.
