WAYNESBORO – State Rep. Chad Reichard (R-Franklin) is offering his staff’s assistance to help qualifying residents with completing property tax/rent rebate applications. Appointments can be made for any Monday, except holidays. Each appointment, which can be made by calling 717-749-7384, lasts roughly 30 minutes.
“My staff and I assist countless residents with completing rebate applications each year,” Reichard noted, “and this new initiative will help expedite the process for residents through a more streamlined process. If an appointment on a Monday doesn’t work for residents, we are happy to meet any time during normal business hours throughout the week.”
Residents should bring their 2025 income documents, a completed rent certificate or paid property tax receipts, and government ID.
Income limits for the program have increased to $48,110 and the maximum rebate increased to $1,000 for homeowners and renters. Residents should exclude 50% of Social Security when determining income. The program is open to residents age 65 years and older; widows and widowers 50 years and older; and people with disabilities 18 years and older.
Reichard reminded residents that they should never pay someone to complete the applications since his office can handle that with no charge.
