HAGERSTOWN – The finalists have been chosen and now the public can vote on what will be the new Washington County “I Voted” Sticker, a creative initiative designed to engage students and promote civic pride and participation.
Voting will be open through Jan. 23, and balloting can be accessed through the county Board of Elections website at https://www.washingtoncountyar.gov/government/departments-a-e/election-commission. The contest was open to Washington County residents who are currently enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade,
The “I Voted” Sticker Art Contest encourages young residents to express what voting and civic engagement mean to them while fostering early awareness of the democratic process. The Board of Elections hoped to showcase the creativity of Washington County’s students and to involve the community in selecting the winning designs.
