WAYNESBORO, Pa. — YMCA volleyball camp participants focused on developing fundamental skills during a July 15 session, practicing serving, hitting and a variety of drills designed to improve accuracy and control. Coaches emphasized targeting techniques, helping players refine their ability to place the ball with intention.
Campers also took part in a game called “dead fish,” where two teams competed by serving over the net toward a designated player lying on the floor; when a serve made contact, the server became a “dead fish.” The activity reinforced aim and consistency while adding an engaging, team-based challenge to the session.
