WAYNESBORO– The second annual Paws 5K took place at Memorial Park in Waynesboro on Saturday, Oct. 12, starting at 11 a.m. Participants walked, jogged or ran along scenic trails, enjoying the event alongside their leashed pets. After the race, winners were announced and awards were presented during Dogtoberfest, which ran from noon to 3 p.m. at Main Street Park. This year’s Ales For Tails winner was Scout Burge, with Michome Malejko in second place and Jeans Hurd in third. More than $12,000 was raised for Antietam Humane Society Inc.
