ANTRIM TOWNSHIP – A Philadelphia man was killed in a crash on Interstate 81 near Greencastle on Monday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes near Exit 5, Route 16/Greencastle/Waynesboro, in Antrim Township at 7:38 p.m.
State police said Jason Pugh Jr., 37, of Philadelphia, was driving a 2022 Kia Sorento on the Exit 5 off-ramp when he left the ramp and drove onto the right shoulder of Interstate 81 northbound.
Pugh drove down an embankment and crashed into a tree, according to the release. The Kia then spun out and overturned onto the driver’s side, troopers said.
According to police, Pugh was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the release said.
No other vehicles were involved.
