The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today that rolling stops are planned for today (Tuesday, Nov. 18) on Interstate 81 near Chambersburg. The rolling stops will be in place as a safety precaution for blasting activities associated with a residential development.
Weather permitting, there will be rolling stops of up to 15 minutes in both directions of I-81 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. from Exit 17 (Walker Road) to Exit 20 (Route 997/Scotland).
Motorists should be alert and watch for stopped or slow-moving traffic.
