WAYNESBORO–A pedestrian was struck and killed Saturday evening on Main Street.
According to Waynesboro Police Department, at approximately 6:47 p.m., a 61-year-old female pedestrian was fatally injured when she was struck by a pick-up truck while in the crosswalk at Mulberry and West Main streets.
The operator of the pick-up was a 21-year-old male, according to police. The name of the pedestrian will not be released pending notification of family as the investigation continues.
