Mrs. Ruth N. (Cowan) Wolf, 96, of Zullinger, PA passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Chambersburg, PA.
Born June 14, 1929 in Greencastle, PA, she was the daughter of the late John N. and Helen (Trayer) Cowan.
Mrs. Wolf graduated from Greencastle High School with the Class of 1947.
She and her first husband, the late Robert J. Simmers, were married on January 31, 1953. Mr. Simmers died on August 14, 1972. She was later married Warren Wolf, Sr. for over 25 years. Mr. Wolf died on July 27, 2014.
Mrs. Wolf worked as a cafeteria aide for the Waynesboro Area School District and later worked as a machinist with Landis Machine Company, Waynesboro, where she retired from after more than 20 years of service.
She was a member of Otterbein Church, Waynesboro and was a former member of the Greencastle Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Wolf enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with her second husband.
She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey L. Simmers (LaDonna) and Donald E. Simmers, both of Waynesboro; six grandchildren, Nathan Simmers, Joshua Simmers, Caleb Simmers, Rebekah Simmers, Jessica Gress and Jennifer Simmers; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one infant great-grandson, Gabriel Simmers Gress.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 15, 2026 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA with Pastor John Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Monday morning, in the funeral home.
