Ned E. Jones, 78, of Fayetteville, PA passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 24, 1946 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of the late Paul and Kathleen (Gsell) Jones.
He attended Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He was employed as a cupola tender for Chambersburg Engineering Company. He retired in 1990 after 23 years with the company. Ned was a member of South Mountain Fish and Game as well as Red Hunting Club, Fayetteville. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Becky A. (Bastain) Jones who he married January 20, 1968; a daughter Samantha Maring and her husband Franklin of Fayetteville, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kris E. Jones who passed away May 7, 2001 and two brothers, Roger and Ruben Jones.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday evening as well as one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning in the funeral home.
