Mrs. Doris J. (Devor) Byers, 87, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 in the Shook Home, Chambersburg, PA.
Born March 31, 1938 in Shippensburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Malen Devor and Dorothy (Marks) Burgess.
Mrs. Byers attended Boiling Springs High School and then attended Beauty School.
She and her husband, the late Ronald J. “Ronnie” Byers, were married November 3, 1965. They made their home on Cold Spring Road, Waynesboro for many years. Together, they shared 54 years when he passed away October 25, 2019.
Mrs. Byers was a hairdresser, co-owning American Style Beauty Shop, Main Street, Waynesboro for many years.
She was a member of Blue Rock United Brethren Church, Waynesboro.
Mrs. Byers is survived by three children, Lisa K. Snyder of Waynesboro, Kristine D. Mena and her husband, Jose of Lebanon, NH and Douglas C. Byers of Cumberland, MD; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Paul “Skip” Kriner; one grandson, Nicholas Sellers; and brother, Hiram Devor.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
