Mr. Daniel E. “Dan” Creager, 84, of Waynesboro, PA, entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in the Waynesboro Hospital, with his wife at his side.
Born February 24, 1940 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Walter C. and Mary V. (Smith) Creager. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro Area.
Mr. Creager was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1958.
He and his wife of over 64 years, Nancy L. (Helfrick) Creager, were married June 26, 1960.
As a skilled carpenter, he was part owner of South Potomac Lumber Co., Waynesboro until his retirement.
Mr. Creager was a dedicated member and deacon of Rouzerville Church of the Brethren.
He enjoyed trains, woodworking, tinkering and building anything he could with his hands.
In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by one daughter, Brenda K. Welsh (William) of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Tiffani N. Seidel and Christian B. Welsh; one great-granddaughter, Blakely C. Seidel; and a large extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, A. Shirley Grisson.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with the Rev. Paul Swope officiating. Burial will follow in Antietam Cemetery (formerly Price’s Church Cemetery), Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday evening, in the funeral home.
