Norland Avenue Pharmacy in Chambersburg and Carl’s Drug Store in Greencastle, locally-owned independent pharmacies dedicated to glorifying God by educating and providing their communities with solutions that will improve quality of life, have announced the addition of pharmacist Ethan Koons. Koons will split time between the two pharmacies serving both patient populations.
Koons is originally from Greencastle and returned to his hometown after receiving a doctorate in pharmacy from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. In his new role, he will oversee the pharmacy’s dedicated team of professionals responsible for filling prescriptions with accuracy, compassion and efficiency.
“I am honored to join Norland Avenue Pharmacy and Carl’s Drug Store and be part of a team that serves with purpose and heart,” Koons said. “I look forward to working alongside incredible staff and helping our communities access solutions that truly make a difference in their lives. It has been a goal of mine to serve the community I grew up in.”

Located on North Antrim Way, Carl’s Drug Store is celebrating 200 years of service to the Greencastle community. The pharmacy features a full line of vitamins, supplements, essential oils and CBD/hemp products; a unique gift shop with ear piercing; and walk-in vaccinations. Both pharmacies focus on supporting and educating customers on their journey to optimal health through free monthly newsletters, informative seminars and the nutrition specialists and health educators on staff.
