Had it not been for a Sunday racing program at Hagerstown Speedway, the entire race weekend would have been washed out.
Hagerstown — which managed to dodge the rains that canceled programs at Path Valley, Lincoln, Port Royal, BAPS Motor, and Williams Grove Speedways — was able to host two features on Sunday.
That was great news for Brady Neff, a Hagerstown driver who finished in second place in the Crate Late Models race. Neff, who finished behind race winner Kyle Hardy of Winchester, Va., led a group of local Top 10 finishers that included Greencastle’s Cuyler Upperman (5th), St. Thomas’ Mike Walls (8th), and Hagerstown’s Avery McMellen (10th).
Also at Hagerstown Speedway, Greencastle’s Gary Stuhler took eighth in the Super Late Models B-Main.
Bedford Speedway also held racing last weekend, with Chambersburg’s Cordell Waulk Jr. taking 11th in the 4-Cylinders feature.
