CHAMBERSBURG, Pa- Ten people were injured in a five-vehicle crash Saturday evening along Lincoln Way East in front of the Dairy Queen, according to the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department.
The crash was reported around 7:38 p.m. on the eastbound side of the divided highway near an intersection marked by four traffic signals. Emergency responders arrived to find multiple vehicles involved and 10 people hurt, officials said.
Fire and rescue personnel from Fayetteville, Chambersburg, Mont Alto, and Marion assisted at the scene, along with WellSpan EMS crews who treated and transported the injured to nearby hospitals. Authorities have not released details on the severity of the injuries or what may have caused the collision.
The incident temporarily closed part of the roadway Saturday night as crews cleared the vehicles and debris.
