HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Miss Washington County has won both the talent and evening gown competitions so far in the Miss Maryland competition.
Gianna Romero, 21, a senior at Stevenson College, won the talent segment for her baton twirling ensemble on Wednesday night, as well as the evening gown competition Thursday night. The pageant final will be Saturday, all at the Maryland Theatre.
Romero, a baton twirler since age 9, is a business communication major who wants to go into sports marketing and communication. She has one sister. Her community service initiative for the pageant has been the Bloom Initiative, focused on healthy relationships and relationship advocacy.
