ANNAPOLIS – The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Fisheries is offering a special opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy fishing without the need for a recreational license.
On June 14 and July 4 anyone can cast a line in Maryland’s waters – tidal and non-tidal alike – free of charge. While the license requirement is waived for these select days, all other fishing regulations, including size and catch limits, remain in effect to ensure sustainable angling practices and protect the state’s aquatic resources.
This initiative is designed to encourage new and returning anglers to experience Maryland’s diverse fishing opportunities.
