CHAMBERSBURG – A unique Chambersburg property will be sold at auction on Saturday, Feb. 14.
The property, most recently known as Lotus Moon Gallery & Yoga, offers a main commercial/residential building plus a separate carriage house/studio and garden patio perfect for entertaining.
Mike and Lauren Carty purchased the property in 2023 when they relocated their formerly downtown business.
Built around 1927, prior to becoming Lotus Moon, the site was home to Inside Out Salon/Hot Java/Inside Out Garden venue.
“It really is a beautiful space with hidden gems of the builder’s creations to be found throughout the property,” said Lauren Carty. “There are many flowers, trees and small areas to enjoy in the garden, and the spectacular paintings on the walls inside the café entryway will take your breath away.”
The couple opted to downsize and semi-retire to Florida in 2025.
“Our favorite times at Lotus Moon were the open mic nights, the eclectic collection of gifts we offered and the magic of the snow twinkling though the decorations and lights in the garden during the winter,” Carty said.
The property, located at 1055 Lincoln Way E., will be sold by Gateway Gallery Auction in an absolute auction—meaning the property will be sold to the person who submits the highest bid above $400,000—on Feb. 14, at 10 a.m.
“What an opportunity to buy a wonderful, multipurpose facility in a great location at an absolute price that is far less than appraised or market price,” said John F. Kohler, Jr., auctioneer at Gateway Gallery. “This could be the idyllic site for your dream business in 2026.”
Open house will be held Saturday, Jan. 10, from 10-11 a.m.
