WAYNESBORO – The Waynesboro Lions Club hosted its annual Train Show at the Mont Alto Fire Hall on Sunday, Nov. 2, drawing model railroad enthusiasts with vendors, displays and family-friendly activities.
Attendees browsed vendor tables offering new and used model trains, tested layouts on operating tracks and entered door prize drawings. Refreshments were available for purchase, along with brooms to support the Lions Club’s community initiatives. Free fire truck rides provided extra fun for kids.
Organizers highlighted the show’s appeal to hobbyists of all ages, featuring hands-on opportunities to explore the world of model railroading.
Local clubs including the Cumberland Valley Model Railroad Club and Waynesboro Model Railroad Club participated, showcasing their expertise. The Cumberland Valley club, based at 440 Nelson St. in Chambersburg, operates trains in nine scales, including the world’s smallest electric T-scale models and a Thomas the Tank Engine layout.
